The 138D version, with its various available constructions, has a friction system on either end of the roller. This allows for the proper management of loads that are unbalanced or not evenly distributed along the length of the roller itself. Compared to the other variants, they deliver more thrust, which is in any case proportional to the load being handled. They share the same standard characteristics as the other 138 variants.
They can be used in temperatures of between -5°C and +40°C. Packages can be moved at a speed of up to 0.5 m/s for all constructions, in accordance with the applied loads.
Materials
Tube: steel (unfinished or galvanised), stainless steel.
End caps and pinions: PA (RAL 9005) and PP (RAL 1023), steel, 6002-2RZ-series ball bearings (standard or stainless).
Shaft: steel (unfinished or galvanised), stainless steel.
Other materials and/or finishes are available on request.

Although not special, information on this design is given. The rough or zinc plated steel tube “N” or “Z and J” rollers with “D” values as per table, can be covered with a soft, elastic and smooth surface (hardness 73 ShA) grey colour (RAL 9006) PVC (Polyvinylchloride) plastic tube, particularly resistant to chemical agents. It is normally used to protect the roller surfaces and mostly to avoid scratching painted, enamelled, smooth, etc. load, and in some cases to increase friction. The PVC lagging is simply fitted on the tube with excellent coupling thanks to elastic tightening. Application temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C.
