Project location United States of America
Application Mining, Coal and Lignite
Conveying material Magnetite
Overview
Therefore, DSI chose two model 320H Rulmeca Motorized Pulleys, each with a 5.5 HP electric motor and 76 fpm nominal belt speed on a 380v/3ph/50Hz power supply, to drive the two Sandwich Belts. Providingthe belt tension required to move the load from the discharge point, each RMP was outfitted with a counter clockwise mechanical backstop to prevent material dropping when the motor is de-energized.

Compact, High-Torque Drives for Tough Industrial Applications
We worked with DSI engineers from the start of the design process to verify that two compactmodel 320 Rulmeca Motorized Pulleys, controlled by load-sharing VFDs, would be the best fit for the application while providing adequate power to move the required material handling rate specified by SNF Coagulants.
Key factors in the selection of Rulmeca Motorized Pulleys were: • Compact size • Light weight • High reliability • Personnel safety • Ease of maintenance.
