Rulmeca Canada Limited is an OEM of premium material handling components for both bulk and unit handling applications. Components such as Rollers/Frames, Garlands, Motorized and Conventional Pulleys, Training Frames, Take Ups and Magnetic Separators. Rulmeca Canada operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which employs the latest in design and technological advancements. At the forefront of the industry, our facility is in constant evolution offering our standard designs and custom solutions for our clients specific needs. We specialize in producing Heavy Duty components for customers operating systems in the harshest of environments.
From the production and supply of services related to CEMA class components -- our go to market strategy includes direct sales and alignment with key distributors strategically located across the country to service and supply a large and diverse group of material handling operations such as Oil Sands, Iron Ore, Pot Ash, Salt, Port Terminals, Pulp and Paper, Coal, Diamond, Gold, Nickel etc. Our unit handling customers range from domestic and commercial Food, Agricultural, Beverage, Packaging and Distribution facilities.
Rulmeca Canada Ltd. (then Precismeca Limited) began operations in 1947 at Sulzbach, Germany, initially repairing, then manufacturing conveyor rolls for the underground coal and potash mines of the Saar region.
A sister company was established in Saverne, France. Followed by manufacturing facilities around the world.
Rulmeca/Precismeca, Germany and France, supplied products to many of the North American clients which included the Great Canadian Oil Sands (now Suncor,) St. Lawrence Cement Company, Iron Ore Company and Alwinsal Potash (Nutrien, Lanigan.) In 1975 Rulmeca/Precismeca began production in Edmonton to supply initial idler requirements of the then new Syncrude mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Operations were moved to a new, larger plant in Nisku, Alberta.
Plant size doubled to meet the increased demand for Rulmeca/Precismeca products.
Rulmeca Group acquires Precismeca Limited Canada, Germany, and France.
Expansion to the Nisku plant was carried out.
Rulmeca relocates from Nisku, AB. to Wallaceburg, ON.
Precismeca rebrands to Rulmeca Canada.
Rulmeca Canada : Expands production plant in Wallaceburg, ON.
Douglas Manufacturing Acquisition.
Rulmeca Canada launches Rulmeca Unit handling into the Canadian market.
