Rulmeca operates a Service centre fully dedicated to the repair and assembly of Motorized Pulleys
Rulmeca TOP rollers are totally thermoplastic polymer rollers with the exception of the steel in the ball bearing and the shaft.
As completely polymer rollers, they have about 50% lower weight with respect to steel rollers. First, this ensures easier and safer transportation, mounting and maintenance operations, preventing back injuries of the operator, especially in application where such interventions might be critical (for example suspended belt conveyor, difficult access, long conveyors). Moreover, their lightness means a lower power consumption during start/stop operation of the belt conveyor and therefore a reduction of power requirements on the plant. Even the low running resistance sealing system of TOP polymer rollers have the same effect by requiring a lower motor torque in conveyor starts, a lower motor power size and therefore a reduction of energy consumption of the belt conveyor.
Other advantages come from the construction materials of TOP polymer rollers making them suitable for a wide variety of applications. Due to thermoplastic noise and vibration absorption, they have a low noise emission. They also have a high wear resistance, due to a low level of abrasion and corrosion, which guarantees a longer life of rollers and a lower maintenance of the whole plant.
Finally, thanks to the self-cleaning roller surface, the use of TOP polymer rollers favors the prevention of build-up of material, main cause of belt mis-tracking, and the consequent reduction of spillage from the belt.

Plus
The anticorrosion polymer roller, featuring both polymer housing and tube, is specifically engineered for medium to heavy-duty applications. This innovative design ensures enhanced protection against corrosion, wear, and harsh environmental factors, making it ideal for industries such as mining, cement, and bulk material handling. The high-performance polymer construction significantly extends the lifespan of the roller, reducing maintenance needs and ensuring reliable, consistent performance under heavy loads and extreme conditions
The rollers are available with either hermetic or contactless seal options, providing superior protection for internal components in challenging environments. The hermetic seals offer a tight, reliable barrier against dust, water, and other contaminants, ensuring optimal bearing protection and performance over time. Alternatively, the contactless seal option minimizes friction and wear, reducing maintenance requirements while ensuring smooth operation. Both sealing options are designed to improve the roller's durability and extend its operational life, making them well-suited for harsh industrial applications
The roller’s outer HDPE shell is engineered to be extremely lightweight while maintaining strength and durability. This design reduces the overall weight of the roller by approximately 50% compared to traditional steel rollers, making it easier to transport, install, and maintain. Additionally, the HDPE shell absorbs noise and vibrations, resulting in quieter operation and reduced mechanical wear. This contributes to a more comfortable and energy-efficient working environment, reducing both power consumption and noise pollution in conveyor systems
